208/365 - Just like Mommy

208/365 - Just like Mommy

Last week the kids and I went to Atlanta to visit their grandparents. On evening we went to Medieval Times, a dinner theater where you eat with your hands (no silverware!) and watch jousting. Before the show Papa let both kids pick out something from the rather extensive gift shop. My 8 year-old son was true to form - a sword that lights up. My 6 year-old daughter was perusing the magic wands and the tiaras when she saw the jewelry. Rings for $15. She decided that she wanted a ring.

Not just any ring, though.

She wanted one that looked just like mine.

We were able to find one that fit her and she has worn it every day since. She wears it on her left hand, and wishes the ring was small enough that she could wear it on her ring finger instead of her middle finger. Can you tell the difference between them in this photograph? Her ring is on the left, and mine is on the right.
